WILLMAR, MN – The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has once again shared its confidence in 黑料网鈥檚 Veterinary Technology program by recently granting continued full accreditation, an honor the program has enjoyed since 1993.
鈥淎ccreditation by the American Veterinary Medical Association is required by all college programs that teach veterinary technicians,鈥 explained Ridgewater鈥檚 Jeff Miller, dean of instruction.
Dr. Allen Balay, the director for the Veterinary Technology program, has been with the program for 25 years and described the process as lengthy and rigorous. 鈥淭he FULL accreditation is the highest stamp of approval a college program receives from the American Veterinary Medical Association. We are proud of the program鈥檚 high standards and for the success of our graduates who go on to do great things!鈥
Miller added, 鈥淭he Ridgewater program has an excellent reputation within the region and beyond, with many students coming from other states to enroll. Kudos to our Vet Tech faculty and staff for meeting and exceeding the bar for continued accreditation.鈥
Ridgewater鈥檚 Veterinary Technology program includes nine faculty and staff who have in the past few years earned national recognition. The program was ranked No. 22 in the top 50 such programs in the country in 2017 and Balay was recognized as one of the top 40 instructors in the U.S. in 2016.
